Itel RS4 Debuts as Nepal's Most Affordable Helio G99 Ultimate-Powered Smartphone

Itel has launched the RS4 in Nepal, positioning it as the most affordable smartphone in the country to feature the powerful MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate processor. While Itel, along with sister brands Infinix and Tecno, focuses on delivering great value in the budget segment, it has yet to build the same level of brand recognition as its companions. Nevertheless, the RS4 aims to attract attention with its competitive pricing and solid performance capabilities.

The Itel RS4 sports a contemporary design with a large central camera island on the back, available in Silvery White and Lurex Black finishes that carry racing-inspired lines and patterns. The Elegant Beige variant, which features a premium vegan leather finish with stitching details, is not currently available in Nepal. On the front, the device boasts a 6.56-inch HD+ display, likely an IPS LCD panel, which offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a rapid 240Hz touch sampling rate, ensuring responsive performance for everyday use and gaming.

Performance is a key highlight of the Itel RS4, driven by the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate processor, a substantial upgrade for this price range. Manufactured on a 6nm process and clocked at up to 2.2 GHz, the chipset promises high frame rates in popular mobile games such as Mobile Legends, PUBG, and FreeFire. The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and a single 256GB storage option in Nepal, running on Android 13 with Itel's custom OS layer.

Camera capabilities are modest, with a single 50MP rear sensor and an additional lens that serves a decorative purpose. The front features an 8MP camera for selfies and facial recognition. A sizable 5000mAh battery supports long-lasting use, paired with 45W PowerCharge technology for quick top-ups. The phone also supports bypass charging, allowing direct power delivery that prevents battery heating and helps maintain battery health over time. Additional gaming-focused features include a Z-axis motor, gyroscope, dual WiFi antennas, and dual speakers.
