JBL Unveils Four New Bluetooth Speakers at CES 2017

JBL has expanded its Bluetooth speaker lineup at CES 2017 with four new models, bringing upgrades to existing products and introducing innovative features. The company has refreshed its popular Pulse and Flip series while also debuting two entirely new speakers.

JBL Pulse 3

The JBL Pulse 3 elevates the popular Pulse series with a striking design and enhanced performance. It features a semi-transparent plastic shell and an LED lighting panel on top, creating a visually appealing look reminiscent of a digital lamp. The speaker delivers 360-degree sound and boasts an IPX7 water resistance rating. With a battery life of 12 hours even with lights on, it also supports pairing with two devices simultaneously and can connect to up to 100 JBL Connect+ compatible speakers for massive audio setups. Additionally, it includes a button for activating Siri, Google Now, or JBL's own voice assistant. The Pulse 3 is expected to hit the market within six months.

JBL Flip 4

The JBL Flip 4 focuses on durability and extended battery life. While it lacks the lighting features of the Pulse series, it offers a rugged design constructed from durable fabric and rubber. It provides a 12-hour battery life, supports pairing with two devices at once, and connects with other JBL Connect+ speakers. Like the Pulse 3, it features water resistance and a voice assistant button. The Flip 4 will be available in six color options.

JBL BassPro Go

The JBL BassPro Go is a portable subwoofer and speaker designed to enhance audio in cars and homes. It delivers deep bass comparable to an 8-inch subwoofer and can be used as a Bluetooth speaker with a 15-hour battery life. A standout feature is its ability to pair with three devices simultaneously, making it ideal for group use. It includes water resistance and JBL Connect+ support but comes with a higher price tag of $599.

JBL Playlist

The JBL Playlist stands out as a versatile speaker, combining Bluetooth and Chromecast capabilities. It can stream audio from Chromecast-enabled apps like Spotify or Pandora over WiFi, extending its range beyond typical Bluetooth speakers. It also functions as a regular Bluetooth speaker and can be configured as an audio source for Google Home devices. The Playlist supports multiple device connections and will be available at the end of March for $149.

With these four new additions, JBL offers options for various needs, from immersive party speakers to rugged portable devices and smart home integration.
