Logitech Unveils Brio Pro, the World's First 4K HDR Webcam

Logitech has made a significant splash in the tech world with the launch of the Brio Pro, a webcam that claims to be the world’s first to offer both 4K resolution and HDR support. This device is poised to redefine expectations for video conferencing and in-room content creation.

The Brio Pro is priced at $199, which positions it at the higher end of the market for webcams. However, its feature set justifies the cost for many users. It records video in Ultra HD (4096 x 2160) at 30 frames per second or in Full HD (1080p) at 60 frames per second. The webcam also includes a 5x digital zoom function when recording at 1080p and 60fps.

One of its standout features is Logitech’s RightLight 3 technology, which ensures clear and vibrant video even in poorly lit environments, a common challenge for most indoor video setups. The addition of HDR (High Dynamic Range) further enhances image quality by balancing exposure and detail in both bright and dark areas.

The Brio Pro also integrates seamlessly with Windows Hello, allowing users to authenticate their identity on Windows 10 devices simply by looking at the camera. Users can additionally adjust the camera’s field of view, selecting from three different angles to best suit their needs during recordings or live streams.

While the webcam’s premium price may limit its appeal in markets such as Nepal, where consumers are less likely to spend over 20,000 NPR on a single webcam, it remains an excellent investment for professionals who frequently conduct corporate video conferences or create content indoors.
