New Budget Phones: Moto C and C Plus Launched

Lenovo has introduced two new budget smartphones under its Moto brand: the Moto C and Moto C Plus. These models mark the debut of Moto's C-series, aimed at offering affordable, everyday devices for users.

Design and Display

Both phones feature a 5-inch screen. The Moto C comes with an 854 x 480 pixel resolution, while the Moto C Plus offers a slightly sharper 720 x 1280 display.

Performance and Variants

The Moto C is available in two connectivity options: a 3G version powered by a 32-bit 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and a 4G version using a 64-bit 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek chip. The Moto C Plus uses the same 64-bit 1.3 GHz MediaTek processor across all variants.

Memory and Storage

The Moto C provides 8GB or 16GB of internal storage paired with 1GB of RAM. The Moto C Plus offers 16GB of storage with either 1GB or 2GB of RAM, depending on the market.

Camera and Battery

The Moto C includes a 5-megapixel rear camera, while the Moto C Plus features an 8-megapixel rear camera. Both phones have a 2-megapixel front camera with a front-facing LED flash. Battery capacity differs, with the Moto C equipped with a 2,350 mAh battery and the Moto C Plus boasting a larger 4,000 mAh battery.

Software and Expected Pricing

Both devices run on Android Nougat. Given Lenovo's history with its E-series pricing, the Moto C and C Plus are expected to launch at or below $100, making them strong contenders in the budget smartphone segment.
