POCO M8 5G Debuts in India With Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and Large AMOLED Display

POCO has officially launched the POCO M8 5G in India, a smartphone that shares several key features with the Redmi Note 15 5G, including the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and a spacious 6.77-inch AMOLED panel. The device sports a design reminiscent of its Redmi counterpart, with a distinctive squarish camera module and a curved middle frame. It comes in three color options: Silver, Green, and Black, and carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.

The display offers FHD+ resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and impressive 3200nits peak brightness, along with enhanced touch sampling and dimming capabilities. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 5G chipset provides reliable performance, built on a 4nm process with a balanced mix of high-performance and efficiency cores. The phone runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.

For photography, the POCO M8 5G features a dual-camera setup led by a 50MP Light Fusion 400 primary sensor, supported by a 2MP depth sensor, while a 20MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. A large 5520mAh battery supplies power, supporting 45W fast charging and 18W reverse wired charging, allowing the device to function as a portable power bank. Connectivity options include 5G, VoNR, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

In India, the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at INR 21,999. Should it become available in Nepal, expectations are for the starting price to be around NPR 34,999, making it a compelling option in the mid-range segment.
