TCL’s RayNeo has unveiled the RayNeo Air 4 Pro AR glasses at CES 2026, introducing what is claimed to be the world’s first HDR10-compatible AR headset for the global market. Initially released in China as the RayNeo Air 4 on October 23, the device now arrives with enhanced features and a new designation.
The RayNeo Air 4 Pro sports a sleek, sunglass-inspired design that weighs just 76 grams, including adjustable nose pieces for improved comfort during extended wear. It delivers an immersive viewing experience through a virtual 201-inch screen viewable from a 5-meter distance. The display technology comes from a 5.5-generation micro-OLED panel, covering 145% of the sRGB gamut and 98% of the DCI-P3 spectrum, with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
Audio quality receives a significant boost through a partnership with Bang & Olufsen, resulting in a four-speaker system equipped with independent DAC drivers and ultra-large polymer diaphragms. This setup produces clearer, deeper sounds, while an optional sound guide directs audio straight to the ear, reducing loss by 80%.
Performance is driven by the new Vision 4000 image quality processor, a collaboration with display technology firm Pixelworks. This custom AR chip represents RayNeo’s first tailored solution, enabling HDR10 support, AI-enhanced HDR processing, and 3D video playback. The Vision 4000 achieves peak brightness levels of up to 1200 nits and supports a color depth of 1.07 billion colors. The glasses also include an AI 3D engine that can convert standard 2D videos to 3D with a single tap.
Connectivity options include USB-C linking to devices capable of display output, such as Android smartphones, PCs, Macs, and handheld gaming consoles.
In the United States, the RayNeo Air 4 Pro carries a starting price of USD 299. Global availability begins on January 25, 2026, though the author expresses skepticism about whether the device will ever reach the Nepali market. An estimated price for Nepal, if it does arrive, would be around NPR 42,999.
