Realme 9 Pro 5G Arrives in Nepal With Snapdragon 695 and 120Hz Display

The Realme 9 Pro 5G has officially entered the Nepali market, joining the existing Realme 9 and 9i models. This device serves as the successor to last year’s Realme 8 Pro, bringing 5G connectivity and several updated specifications.

The phone sports a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate that adapts to content, along with a responsive 240Hz touch sampling rate. However, it uses an LCD screen instead of the AMOLED display found in the Realme 8 Pro. Measuring 8.5mm thick and weighing around 195 grams, it comes in three color options: Aurora Green, Midnight Black, and Sunrise Blue, with the latter featuring a Light Shift Design that changes color in different lighting conditions.

Under the hood, the Realme 9 Pro 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, built on a modern 6nm process. Although this appears to be a step down from the Snapdragon 720G in the previous model, the Snapdragon 695 features newer Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 cores and an improved Adreno 619 GPU, along with better power efficiency and 5G support. It is paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

For photography, the device offers a triple rear camera setup, downsized from the quad-camera arrangement on the Realme 8 Pro. The main camera is a 64MP sensor, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro lens. A 16MP selfie camera sits within a circular cutout on the front.

Battery life is handled by a sizable 5000mAh cell, up from the 4500mAh unit in the Realme 8 Pro, though charging speed remains capped at 33W. The phone runs Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0 on top and includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

The Realme 9 Pro 5G is priced at NPR 38,999 for the sole 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. However, early adopters who pre-order the device between August 18 and 21 can enjoy a flat discount of NPR 2,000. The phone is now available at authorized retail outlets across Nepal.
