Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro Review: Premium Sound with Smart Features

Samsung has stepped up its game in the true wireless earbuds space with the Galaxy Buds Pro, a premium pair that takes on Apple's AirPods Pro. The Buds Pro boast a sleek, minimalistic design with IPX7 water resistance, making them suitable for workouts and outdoor use. They feature a dual-speaker setup including an 11mm woofer and a 6.5mm tweeter, delivering rich audio quality that rivals the AirPods Pro.

The noise cancellation is impressive, effectively reducing low-frequency sounds while allowing users to adjust ambient sound levels. The Buds Pro also include a Voice Detect feature that automatically switches to ambient mode when speaking, similar to Sony's WH-1000XM4. However, the ANC does not quite match the industry-leading performance of the AirPods Pro or Bose QuietComfort Earbuds.

One of the standout features is the 360 Audio support, which uses Dolby Head Tracking for an immersive sound experience. Unfortunately, this along with Game Mode (for reduced latency) and Auto Switch (for Samsung devices) are exclusive to Samsung phones. The touch controls are responsive, though a bit too sensitive at times.

Battery life is decent, offering up to 5 hours of playback with ANC enabled and up to 8 hours without. The charging case provides additional playtime, though users will find themselves charging more frequently compared to older models like the Galaxy Buds+.

Call quality is excellent, with a three-microphone setup and Wind Shield technology that minimizes wind interference. The Buds Pro are priced at NPR 25,300, making them a compelling option, particularly for those within the Samsung ecosystem where exclusive features enhance the experience.
