Samsung Galaxy J1 Now Available in Nepal at Rs. 11,490

Samsung has introduced the Galaxy J1 in the Nepalese market, marking its latest offering in the budget smartphone segment. The device hits stores today with a retail price of Rs. 11,490 and can be found at Samsung-authorized outlets across the country.

The Galaxy J1 sports a 4.3-inch WVGA PLS display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and a pixel density of 217 ppi. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Spreadtrum processor paired with Mali 400 graphics and 512MB of RAM. Storage options include 4GB of internal memory, expandable via microSD card up to 32GB.

Photography features a 5MP autofocus rear camera with an LED flash and a 2MP front camera equipped with a palm selfie gesture sensor. Connectivity options cover dual-SIM support, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, and 3G networks. The phone runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and houses an 1850mAh battery, offering up to 10 hours of talk time.

While the Galaxy J1 incorporates a plastic build and includes power-saving modes similar to those found on higher-end models, its 512MB RAM could pose limitations for multitasking due to the resource-intensive TouchWiz UI. Further insights and a full analysis will follow soon.
