Vivo V23 5G Debuts in Nepal at a Premium Price Point

Vivo Nepal has formally introduced the V23 5G in the local market, marking the second device in the V23 series to arrive following the V23e, while the V23 Pro remains unreleased. The phone emphasizes its unique color-changing technology, available in the Sunshine Gold variant, where the rear panel shifts from golden to greenish-blue under sunlight. For those who prefer a simpler look, the matte Stardust Black option is also available and is slightly thinner and lighter.

The device sports a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support, featuring an iPhone-like notch for its dual-selfie camera setup. On the photography front, the V23 5G is marketed primarily as a selfie-focused device, equipped with a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide sensor, both supporting HDR and 4K video recording. The rear camera setup includes a 64MP primary sensor with Eye Autofocus, alongside an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro lens.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Dimensity 920 chipset, a 6nm processor with Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 cores, paired with a Mali G68 GPU. It comes in 8GB and 12GB RAM configurations with 128GB and 256GB of storage, respectively, and offers an option to expand RAM up to 12GB using internal storage. The V23 5G is backed by a 4200mAh battery and supports 44W Flash Charge. It runs on Android 12 with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 12 and includes a single bottom-firing speaker with Hi-Res audio support, though it lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, with an adapter provided in the box.

Priced at NPR 55,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant, the Vivo V23 5G enters the Nepali market at a notably higher price compared to its Indian counterpart.
