Xiaomi Launches Mi 5 With Premium Features at Competitive Price

Xiaomi, China's leading smartphone brand, has announced the Mi 5, its latest flagship device that combines top-tier specifications at an aggressive price point. The Mi 5 boasts a 5.15-inch Full HD display with curved edges, a ceramic design, and a brightness level of 600 nits, making it highly visible even in bright sunlight. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor, which promises twice the performance and 50 percent better efficiency compared to the previous year's Snapdragon 810, along with an Adreno 530 GPU for enhanced graphics.

The phone features a 16MP Sony IMX 298 camera with advanced autofocus and 4K video recording capabilities, protected by sapphire glass, while the front camera offers 4MP resolution with large pixels for better low-light performance. It supports ultra-fast 4G LTE speeds, Bluetooth 4.2, and includes NFC for added connectivity options. A sizable 3000mAh battery with quick charging technology allows the device to reach a full charge in just over an hour.

In terms of storage, the Mi 5 moves away from the traditional eMMC standard to UFS 2.0, which significantly boosts data transfer speeds. In Nepal, the 32GB variant is priced at NPR 49,999, though early buyers can secure the device for a discounted rate of NPR 45,999 through official channels.
