Xiaomi Mi 5s Now Available for Pre-Booking in Nepal

Vatsal Impex Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor for Xiaomi products in Nepal, has opened pre-booking for the Xiaomi Mi 5s from January 3 to January 6, 2017. Interested buyers can reserve the phone at an introductory price of NPR 45,999, which offers a NPR 4,000 discount compared to the regular price of NPR 49,999 when the device officially goes on sale starting January 7.

The Xiaomi Mi 5s, launched globally in October, is a high-spec smartphone housed in a full-metal unibody design. It sports a 5.15-inch IPS LCD display with full HD resolution. Powering the device is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor running at 2.15 GHz, paired with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of non-expandable internal storage.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 12MP primary camera on the rear, featuring the Sony IMX378 sensor with 1.55μm pixels and phase-detection autofocus, alongside a 4MP front camera for selfies. The Mi 5s stands out with its video capabilities, supporting 4K recording at 30 frames per second and 1080p at 120 frames per second, ideal for slow-motion footage. The front camera can also record videos up to 1080p resolution.

Running on Android 6.0 with Xiaomi's MIUI 8 interface, the phone includes a non-removable 3200mAh battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology, enabling an impressive 83% charge in just 30 minutes. It also features USB Type-C version 1.0, offering a reversible connector for easier use, though compatibility with existing cables may be limited.

One of the Mi 5s's notable features is its under-glass ultrasonic fingerprint sensor located on the front, a rare trait among smartphones at this price point. The device will be available in Gold color only.
